A quick and easy eBay pick-up on this day. This is my third card of Contreras and my first card from 2014 Bowman Platinum. Contreras was signed by the Reds in 2008 out of the Dominican Republic at age 17. He began 2014 in AA Pensacola, and the Reds bullpen fell to shambles so completely, that we pulled him into the bigs before a single pitch in AAA. He was rockin' a nice 2.70 ERA in the minors, but his 18.2 innings in the majors have been less than stellar. I hope we give him a little more time to develop, because he can definitely be a solid pitcher down the road.
Also, I think the Illuminati have hidden a message in this card design. THE CROW FLIES AT MIDNIGHT. WOE UNTO THE BELIEVERS.
