TTM Goodness - Coffey, Birtsas, Riedling, Mercado

Four TTM middle relievers for your eyeballs today.

Todd Coffey was drafted by the Reds in 1998. He pitched in 218 games for us 2005-2008, then went on to pitch for the Brewers, Nationals, and Dodgers. He spent 2014 on the Mariners AAA team. Signed is a 2007 Topps #58.

Tim Birtsas was drafted by the Yankees in 1982 but spent his first two big league years in Oakland and his other three in Cincinnati, pitching in 107 games for the Reds, including the 22nd instance of a 4 strikout inning in MLB history. He finished his career in Japan and Italy. Signed is a 1990 Score #408.

John Riedling was drafted by the Reds in 1994 and played in Cincy from 2000-2004, pitching in 229 games. After a year for the Marlins and some Independent League time, he retired in 2007. Signed is a 2005 Fleer Tradition #299.

Hector Mercado was drafted by the Astros in 1992 but debuted with the Reds in 2000. He'd pitch in 68 games in two seasons for Cincy, then spend two years in Philly and some time in Japan and Mexico before taking his current job as a pitching coach for the Astros farm system. Signed is a 2000 Fleer Tradition Update #32.
