Get To Know Your Reds: Part 33 - Jon Coutlangus

According to Baseball Reference there have been 1,891 different players who got into a major league game as a Cincinnati Red/Red Stocking/Redleg as of the end of the 2014 season. So I threw them all into a randomizer and off we go.

Drafted: 2003, by the Giants
Debut: 2007, with the Reds, acquired via waivers

Final Major League Season: 2007, with the Reds




Initially drafted by the Brewers in 2000, but didn't sign, continuing his college career at South Carolina.
Was drafted again in 2003, by the Giants, as an outfielder, but switched to pitching in 2004.
Spent 6 years in pro ball, playing in the minors for San Francisco, Cincinnati, and Arizona.
Only spent 1 year in the majors, 2007, pitching in 64 games for the Reds.
Currently the pitching coach at North Greenville University.
