Lo, my secret prediction has come to pass: A vintage sweep in Group 14. The newbies weren't very strong here and the veterans gave no quarter.Winning the group was an excellent celebration shot of the Reds winning Game 5 of the 1972 NLCS with Pete Rose and coach Alex Grammas blitzing George Foster at the plate, courtesy of 1973 Topps. Also moving on are a slick '61 Topps Vada Pinson, '64 Topps McCool/Ruiz rookie combo, and '73 Denis Menke. Round 15 coming later today. Go Reds.
Been busy and haven't been able to vote on the last few, but glad to see that future Friar Bill McCool was able to advance. That was my fave of the bunch.
