Card Show Shenanigans - Part 3

More card show goodness and more Tournament voting in the sidebar. Today we're checkin' out some parallels pulled mercilessly out of their boxed homes.

1999 Topps Chrome Prospects Lance Berkman, Mike Frank, Gabe Kapler. See, now, most people would refer to this as a Lance Berkman Chrome pre-rookie. Most people aren't me. This is clearly a Mike Frank Chrome rookie, kids. Mike Frank played in 28 big league games, all in '98. Berkman has played in 1874 and counting and is rated as a probable Hall of Famer. Don't care. This is a Mike Frank card.

More chromies I needed. 1998 Topps Reggie Sanders and Brett Tomko. 1999 Topps Chris Stynes. I swear these things work better at collecting all the dust in my room than my fancy static duster.

Even more chrome. 1998 Bowman Chrome International (!) Jason Williams, 1998 Bowman Chrome Darron Ingram, 1999 Bowman Chrome Travis Dawkins. Sweet.

2012 Bowman Platinum Gold Jay Bruce (these continue to look better in scans than in the albums), the subtle 200something Ultra Gold Bronson Arroyo, and the even more subtle 1993 Upper Deck Gold Hologram Jeff Reardon. One can't even tell in the scan that this is the Gold Hologram variation, and it's only slightly more apparent when you're actually holding the card. This is the first time I've even seen one, and I'm hardly impressed. Makes me wonder if I glanced over any of these as a kid.

Closing it out with some 1990 Topps Tiffany: Chris Sabo, Tom Browning, Rob Dibble, and Norm Charlton. I'm always happy to pluck a new Sabo. Someday, I'll have all the Tiffanys. Someday.

Go Reds.
