Get To Know Your Reds: Part 34 - Sammy Byrd

According to Baseball Reference there have been 1,891 different players who got into a major league game as a Cincinnati Red/Red Stocking/Redleg as of the end of the 2014 season. So I threw them all into a randomizer and off we go.

His 8-season career included 6 years as a Yankee and 2 as a Red.
Led AL in fielding percentage as an oufielder in 1934.
Nicknamed "Babe Ruth's Legs" due to his frequent role pinch running for Ruth.
Retired from baseball to join the PGA Tour, where he won 6 events from 1942-1946 as well as earning a 2nd place, 3rd place, and 4th place finish in majors.
Only person in history to have played in the Masters and the World Series.
