One and Done: 1969-1970

This is the second part (first part here) of my new running theme, unimaginatively dubbed 'One and Done'. Here, I focus on cards of Reds players who, whether it be their only year in the bigs or their only year with the club, found themselves on the Cincinnati roster for only one season, yet long enough to sneak onto a card donning the Cincinnati red. That was a very convoluted sentence that I am choosing not to edit.

Today we're looking at 1969-1970. These two seasons featured 14 players (10 and 4, respectively) in their only Red year. Of these 14, my collection houses 8 of them.

Camilo Pascual. 18 year career with 5 teams, beginning in 1954, 5x All Star, 3x League Leader in shutouts, 3x League Leader in K's, 3x League Leader in CG, 174 career wins.
With the Reds: 1969, 7.1 IP in 1 start and 4 relief appearances, 3 K's, 8.59 ERA.

Ted Savage. 9 year career with 8 teams, beginning in 1962.
With the Reds: 1969, 132 PA in 68 games, 2 HR, 11 RBI, .227 BA.

Bill Short. 6 year career with 6 teams, beginning in 1960.
With the Reds: 1969, 2.1 IP in 4 relief appearances, and an at-bat.

Danny Breeden. 2 year career with 2 teams, beginning in 1969.
With the Reds: 1969, 11 PA in 3 games, 1 hit, 1 RBI.

Jose Pena. 4 year career with 2 teams, beginning in 1969.
With the Reds: 1969, 5 IP in 6 relief appearances, 3 K's, 1-1 record.

Jack Fisher. 11 year career with 5 teams, beginning in 1959.
With the Reds: 1969, 113 IP in 15 starts and 19 relief appearances, 55 K's, 5.50 ERA, 4-4 record.

Ray Washburn. 10 year career with 2 teams, beginning in 1961.
With the Reds: 1970, 66 IP in 3 starts and 32 relief appearances, 37 K's, 6.92 ERA, 4-4 record.

Mel Behney. 1 year career with 1 team.
With the Reds: 1970, 10 IP in 1 start and 4 relief appearances, 2 K's, 4.50 ERA, 0-2 record.
