By "IP", I mean "in-person". By "in-person", I mean "someone who wasn't me asked nicely". Most of these are from the hard work of other people, who then sold them for cheap.
About a third are TTM though, and those were indeed by me.
I like these much much better than the soulless corporate autographs. Especially the sticker autos. These were out in the wild, man. Not soaking underneath fluorescent lights in some dreary cubicle, man. I, of course, am a hapless hypocrite, as I have plenty 'official' autos too.
Here's the current collection, last name A.

Auto count: 31
Unique Reds: 17
Biggest name (player): Bronson Arroyo
Biggest name (manager): Sparky Anderson
Current roster: Andrew Abbott, Graham Ashcraft, Tejay Antone
Oldest: Gerry Arrigo (1969 Topps)
Quantity champ: Tejay Antone (5)
Missing auto I want the most: Steve Avery
Go Redlegs.

It's a tough one. Not too many cards as a Red
ReplyDeleteAvery pitched for the Reds? Can't believe I missed that. Nice Sparky! He might have gray hair in that photo, but he looks so young compared to how I remember him (from his managerial days in the 80's).
ReplyDeleteBro was 35 years old in this pic. And yeah, Avery had 19 inglorious starts for us in '99
