COMC Hoopla - Part 5 of 5: The Fifth Part

I do believe I've captured all the Black Friday cards from COMC on my scanner and have got them posted now. Sweet. I love you, COMC, even though you take all of my money.

George Foster bat relic for like a buck and a quarter? I'll take that deal all day.

2015 Topps Chrome Refractor Yorman Rodriguez. I think the refractor was like 50 cents more than the regular auto. Hey, you only live once, right?

Here's a bunch of Barry Larkins I decided to go for. All of them pretty hideous, actually. But it's Barry, so I love them.

Speaking of people I love, how about some Ken Griffey Jr. lovin'? Just look at that backwards hat. He's so wacky!!!!!

I'm just bout sick of non-Adam Dunn relics, but this one was under a buck and numbered out of only 99, so what the aitch, right?

Trvor Lawhorn was drafted by the Reds in 2004 and spent the subsequent 9 years in the minors and independent leagues before retiring from pro ball in 2012.

The Josh Hamilton closes out that Topps '52 set (not to be confused with the Topps Heritage set that also uses the '52 design). The Austin Kearns is a Stadium Club base set Short Print that also finishes the team set. And nice job recycling photos on the Billys, there, Topps/

Dewayne Wise played 576 big league games over 11 seasons, 36 of which were for Cincy in 2006 and 2007. Eight big hits for the Reds. Whoop whoop.

And we're closing down the COMC hoopla with this hideous beast. Technically a basketball set, Foot Locker put on a charity "Slam Fest" featuring baseball players. Among them was Reds pitcher Jack Armstong, and his official card honoring the event. I couldn't love this card more.

Go Reds.

  1. That Foot Locker card is glorious! Oh, and it's limited edition - it's going to be valuable some day.
