JUNK SETS!

Quarterly card show was in town this past weekend. While I wasn't very successful in the dime box department, there was one vendor who bought out a brick-and-mortar card shop that was clearly a relic of the early 90's hey-day. It turns out, if you want to actually sell junk era cards, the secret is to have someone else meticulously sort them all into complete sets 25 years ago, then sell them for $4 per set.

Boom. That's 1988, 1989, 1990, and 1992 Topps (already have 1991), 1990 and 1992 Fleer (already have 1991), 1990 Donruss, and 1990 score. And he even went DOWN in price, letting me leave with all 8 sets for $25. That's $3.13 per set, for you math wizards out there. I'm pretty pumped. I need these all in albums, even though the 45 pages or so needed for each would cost more than the cards themselves. I was motivated to put one old chestnut in a binder with some newly bought pages though...

Sexy, sexy 1991 Score. Plus 1991 Score Traded. 1010 cards packed into a binder. Delicious.

Go Reds.
