I've recently learned to embrace my doubles. So much, in fact, that I deeply regret having given most of them away. I sold a box of 3000 junk era doubles a couple years ago. I gave away a bunch in contests. I had shear hatred for them. Now I wish I had my larger pile back to play with.
I'm constructing an Opening Day album. Simple enough. Each page will feature the nine starters on Opening Day every year back to as far as I can go back to. Card doesn't have to be from that particular year. For now. And I've decided this is the ideal layout:
LF CF RF
SS SP 2B
3B C 1B
Sifting through all my doubles, I've only completed 7 pages. This can be easily amended by tearing up a dime box next time I'm at a show. But for now, here are my 6 junk era pages and one modern page.
