Rookie Parade: 1985-1989

Continuing new running theme where we check out some Reds rookie cards. Here are the rookie card rules. 1) The player must have played his first major league game with the Reds. 2) The card must have been issued after the player debuted in the majors, whether it be issued late in the debut year or any time the year after. None of this Bowman first year stuff. None of this multiple rookie year stuff. I'm gonna list every player who got his first major league appearance with the Reds and pray that I have his RC.

I'm doing this in groups of a few years every few days. So it should take me about a decade to finish. Rookie year stats are given. Let's roll.

  1. I like how you correctly list Barry Larkin as a 1986 Rookie. The card world caught up in 87 and that's what they consider his rookie year, his first full season. Wondering why you did not use the 1986 sportflix card? Probably because it does not scan well.

    1. Yeah, sportflics aren't scan-happy. Too bad Topps didn't throw a Barry into 86 Traded.
