Completely Red: 1982 Donruss

Here's Donruss' second offering, and I dig it. It's certainly a relic of the era that wouldn't go over today, but the cartoony design is nice. Plus we get the first Diamond Kings, which remain everyone's favorite thing ever, despite the occasional (frequent) grotesque. The photography improved, though we still have too many head shots. No mind. George Foster's sideburns make up for any missteps.

We got some great names on the '82 roster (Bench, Seaver, Foster, Soto, Concepcion, Griffey, Knight), but no rookies. The team finished with an abysmal 61 wins. Ick. Surprising, coming off their 66-42 record the year prior.
