Without much fanfare, the hideous 2012 Upper Deck Goodwin Champions Pete Rose coasted to victory in The Red Cardboard Ugly Card Ugstravaganza.
That velveteen track suit. That hair. That right hand. This card is something special. We've seen a ton of "artist's" renderings on cards, but this one stands above them all. Congrats, Petey. You'll always be in my Hall of Fame.

Yes! I called this round ago. I was lucky enough to pull this card from a pack and I've hate-loved it ever since.
ReplyDeleteI've had wife help me with the voting since the early rounds. She doesn't know baseball or baseball cards, but she knows UGLY. She called this one pretty early on as well. We were both shock that Jay Bruce beat out Hal Morris though.
