That is to say, I made a meager purchase from COMC a bit ago. And I scanned the cards. And here are half of em.
Come on, Burgerini. Get it together, man.
1972 Topps Julian Javier. This is one of them high-number cards. #745, to be precise. Sweet.
1979 TCMA Renata Glasso Johnny Vander Meer. Nothin' much to this set. But I'll take a cheap vintage Vander Meer always.
1955 Bowman Gus Bell. A tough high number from the set. Did I notice someone wrote "Black Dick (something)" on this card in pencil when I bought it? Why no. No I did not. But here we are.
And we'll close it out today with, ahem, MINIIIIIIS. 1975 Topps Mini Ed Armbrister RC, Will McEnaney. No, no, no, that is not a Fred Lynn RC. That is an Ed Armbrister RC. True.
Back half tomorrow, kiddies. Go Reds.
Hey I just learned about that Glasso set yesterday and here you are posting a card from it. I feel all knowledgeable and stuff.
ReplyDeleteI was unaware of it until I saw this card in the search results.
DeleteI think I need to find one of those Burger Chef disks
ReplyDeleteThe burger chef discs are pretty cool. I have an uncut box that has all ten sox discs on it. It came with there version of the fun meal. I think it was some kind of game you could play
ReplyDeleteNice. I think an uncut box with the entire Big Red Machine on it would fetch some serious coin.
