It's Cameo Week here at Red Cardboard. For the sake of these posts, a cameo is any uncredited appearance on a card, no matter how minor. It could be some poor bastard sliding out of frame, some dude hanging out in the background, a celebratory high five, a posed shot, whatever. I think we all have the same definition.
The plan will be the following seven posts, in some order: All Stars, NL East, NL Central, NL West, AL, and two Reds-only posts.
Today will be the AL, with some bonus 2014 Heritage. Why? Because I couldn't find very many AL cameos on Reds cards. And we've all seen new Heritage by now, so it hardly warrants its own post.
Hopefully I didn't screw any of these up. Let's ride.
BONUS HERITAGE! WOOOO!
Hey! New photos! Most excellent. No need to sully such a classic flagship design with rehashed photos.
That Latos. Yeesh. Well, I wanted fresh photography. So I can't complain.
Hrrmph. That first Jay Bruce was used in 2013 Heritage. And an interesting choice, including David Holmberg. The Reds just acquired him this year from the Diamondbacks. He pitched briefly for them in the bigs, but the Reds have only given him 2 spring training innings. But right, on. I love getting some new players in the collection.
Cameo Week rolls on. Go Reds.
