A Larkin Retrospective - Part 3: Product Whoring

Ain't nothing wrong with it, by the way. Gots ta get paid. Athletes have been pitching product to the masses since the gladiators of Rome. Barry Larkin was the face of the Reds for a long time, so, during the card apocalypse of the 90's, you couldn't buy a pack of batteries without seeing a 2.5x3.5 piece of cardboard with him on it stuffed in the package. A quick flip through my albums produced a mere 26 examples.

FAST FOOD - Church's Chicken, McDonald's

FROZEN PIZZA - Tombstone

BREAKFAST MEATS - Jimmy Dean

GAS STATIONS - Citgo

BEVERAGES - Pepsi
 DEPARTMENT STORES - Woolworth
 SNACK CAKES - Hostess

BUBBLE GUM - Bazooka
CEREAL - Post

BATTERIES - Duracell
DOG TREATS - Milk Bone

HOT DOGS - Kahn's

Go Reds.
