Normally, it'd be a no-brainer to go with any card from the '93 Topps Black Gold set, but I'm not feeling the Oliver, the Larkin was so much better. I think I've seen Jose Rijo in this tournament more than any other player - dude needs his own bracket!
ReplyDeleteOh, and that Denorfia is SWEET! One of my favorites of the few cards of his Redleg days that I have. If I had to get on my soapbox to campaign for a card, it would be that one. Glad to see him make the cut.
Yeah, if Larkin Black Gold got shoved aside, the Oliver doesnt stand a chance. I think the random number generator happened to shove a lot of Rijo into these early brackets, but yes, there are plenty more. The card photographers loved Jose.
